Windscreen replacement price
Do you have glass insurance?
If your insurance covers various types of windscreen damage, such as a crack, the cost of replacing your windscreen will only be the amount of your excess.
The excess is determined by your insurance contract. The cost of a windscreen replacement is made up of several factors, including the cost of the windscreen replacement work, the calibration of the ADAS systems according to the car manufacturer’s specifications, and the cost of the windscreen and accessories. The cost depends on the make, model, and specifications of the windscreen.
Price of windscreen replacement when paying yourself
The price of a windscreen replacement is determined by the make, model, and year of the car, as well as the accessories and driver assistance systems.
There is only one or a few suitable windscreens for each make and model of car. Even if they are the same make, model, and year, windscreens are not always compatible. For example, a better-equipped car may have an optional camera or other driver assistance system integrated into the windscreen that is missing in the base model. This is why our glass suppliers offer thousands of different windscreens.
In addition to the material price of the windscreen, the price of a windscreen replacement also includes the total cost of the replacement work and the windscreen calibration. The fixed price for windscreen replacement is €185. Calibration of the windscreen, i.e., the verification of the functionality of the driver assistance systems integrated in the windscreen, is also a fixed price of €185.
In an older car, the total cost of a windscreen replacement can be less than €400 if you pay for it yourself, but in a newer car with many driver assistance systems, the price can go up to €2,000.
